Foot patrol (20/08/2026)

Energised by spells of rain, Rick's 4 hour, 56 minute patrol of the ward this afternoon saw every Rush Green street visited, along with a late presence in Central Park (9.37 miles).

A visit was made to the May and Baker Social Club first thing as the Dagenham and Redbridge Football Club Community Trust hosted another week of sports and games for primary school children.

It was then on to Harveys Lane via the Eastbrookend Country Park and Footpath 18 (3.58pm), with Great Cullings (4.16pm, p), Valentines Way, Fels Farm Mews and Eastbrook Drive all following.

The whole of Parish Fields (4.51pm) was covered, including Foxglove Road (4.57pm) and a rainy Campion Close.

From there, every street on both sides of Dagenham Road was patrolled, from Gorseway (5.48pm), Footpath 155 and Lincoln Avenue (p) to the east and the west's Strood Avenue (6.36pm), Thorntons Farm Avenue and Croxford Way (7.18pm).

It was then southbound through Central Park (7.31pm, p) and Fels Field, and passing the social club on the way back to Dagenham Police Station.
