Crime Update:
A distraction burglary was reported on Bretshall Close at 10:00am on Tuesday 18th August. A female has approached the property claiming she needed help. The resident of the home has offered help to the female and while inside the property she has stolen jewellery before running out of the property If you have any information, please quote 20/368779/26
Three males have attempted to gain entry to a vehicle on Creynolds Road through the night of the 15th The males arrived on a motorbike wearing helmets and believed to have had a relay device with them If you have any information, please quote 20/363453/26
A relay device in car thefts is an electronic tool used by criminals to copy and boost the wireless signal from a keyless car fob
In the early hours of the morning of the 16th an unknown person has gained entry to a locked and secure vehicle on Longleat Drive. No items were taken from the vehicle before the suspect left the scene If you have any information, please quote 20/366059/26
The Blythe area has saw an increase in vehicle crime since our last message.
A locked vehicle on Lowbrook Lane had money taken from it through the night of the 13th On the 15th during the night a vehicle on Briarwood Close had items stolen to the value of over £1000 A vehicle was stolen from Tythe Barn Lane between the hours of 22:00pm on the 13th and 08:00am of the 14th 20/363072/26
Two males have stolen a motorbike from Tesco's car park on Stratford road on the 14th of August at 18:30pm. The males arrived on a black moped and were wearing balaclavas. If you saw the males or moped in any other locations as well as this one, please quote 20/363134/26 A motorbike was stolen from Cornwood Lane, Rumbush Lane on the 15th The time is unknown at this time, if you have any information to help with our ongoing inquiries, please quote 20/365155/26
On Cheswick Way, unknown offenders have stolen a vehicle through the night of the 18th We are currently in the early stages of this investigation, please quote 20/369724/26 if you saw or heard anything.
A steering wheel lock is a great deterrent against this kind of crime. Car alarms, immobilisers and trackers are also worth investing in. Good quality CCTV equipment covering your driveway is also a deterrent and can give officers valuable footage to assist with apprehending thieves.
