Theft of Motor Vehicle - Grange Road - Elstree

Dear Resident

Between 18/08/2026 02:20 to 18/08/2026 02:28 a theft of a vehicle occurred on Grange Road, Elstree,

The victim is reporting that their vehicle has been stolen between the material times, the vehicle was parked on the drive and there are some images and CCTV of the offence in action. Offenders have covered the victims cameras with plasters and stickers. The have then taken victims vehicle without keys and made off in an unknown direction.

We are looking for anybody in the surrounding roads of GRANGE ROAD to review their CCTV cameras to find a direction of travel or supply us with some good quality CCTV of the offenders inside the vehicle. Please review your cameras between 02:18 - 02:32am looking for a vehicle exiting Grange Road onto any of Lodge Avenue, Bishops Avenue, Knowl Way, The Rise & Alum Lane

Tips to prevent vehicle crime:

Ensure you lock doors and shut windows/sunroof when leaving your vehicle unattended.

Always remove keys from the ignition when you are not with the vehicle

When parking, remember to set your immobiliser or alarm or use an approved steering lock or gear lever clamp.

Never leave valuables in your vehicle – not even in the glove box or boot – and keep all possessions out of sight – even coats, sunglasses and carrier bags.

Be aware of your keys. Don’t leave them visible on a windowsill or near to your front door, where they could be “hooked” through the letterbox or a keyless signal can be received by relay devices.

If you have a keyless entry car use a signal blocking bag and consider using additional trackers, steering wheel locks or ghost immobilisers.

Store car ownership documents at home, not in your car.
