You might have seen a police presence last night in the area of George Pope Road. We wanted to update you that we were called there at 8.42pm yesterday (18 Aug) following reports that a man had been assaulted by a group of teenagers. This followed an earlier physical altercation between a group of teenagers in the same area. The victim, a man aged in his 30s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. Two teenage boys were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and were taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where they remain. |
