Local officers have recently located and seized a number of knives in and around the Priory Park area. |

The removal of weapons from our streets is a key priority, and these seizures demonstrate our continued commitment to tackling violence and preventing harm within the community. Every weapon taken off the streets represents one less opportunity for it to be used to cause injury or intimidation.
Neighbourhood officers will continue to carry out regular high-visibility patrols in and around Priory Park and the surrounding areas. These patrols are aimed at providing reassurance to residents, deterring crime and anti-social behaviour, and maintaining a visible policing presence where it matters most.
We understand the importance of ensuring that Priory Park remains a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who uses it, including families, young people, dog walkers, and other visitors. Officers will be conducting both dedicated patrols and engagement activity throughout the area over the coming weeks.
We encourage members of the community to speak with officers when they see them on patrol. Your local officers are there to listen to your concerns, answer questions, and gather information about the issues that matter most to you. Community intelligence plays a vital role in helping us identify problems, target offending, and keep people safe.
If you have concerns about crime, anti-social behaviour, or people carrying weapons, please do not hesitate to approach officers directly or report information through the appropriate channels. By working together with residents and local partners, we can continue to make Priory Park and the surrounding neighbourhood a safer place for everyone.
We would like to thank the community for its ongoing support and cooperation.
