A Safety Reminder for Our Residents |
||
|
We would like to share a couple of simple reminders to help everyone stay safe.
Parking enforcement:
Please be aware that there are currently no uniformed Harrow Council enforcement officers. If someone approaches you claiming to be a parking enforcement officer and asks for cash, please be cautious and do not hand over any money.
Remember, Council, Police and your Bank will never ask you cash or to transfer money over the phone.
Protecting your valuables:
We have also received reports of elderly residents being approached by people in cars. They may ask questions about a temple, offer money or use a friendly hug as a distraction. Please be polite but cautious, and keep your jewellery, phone and other valuables secure.
These are simple precautions, but they can make a big difference. Please also share this advice with elderly family members, friends and neighbours.
For real emergencies, call 999. For non-emergency police matters, call 101.
