📦 DON’T LET YOUR PARCELS BECOME AN EASY TARGET |
Dear residents,
We have noticed an increase in reports and concerns around parcel theft, with unattended deliveries being an easy target for opportunist thieves. Please consider taking a few simple steps to help protect your deliveries: 🔹 Track your parcel and, where possible, arrange delivery for a time when someone will be home. 🔹 Use a trusted neighbour or family member if you’re unable to be at home. If you live in a flat, consider whether your concierge can safely accept deliveries. 🔹 Use a parcel locker or collection point, particularly for valuable or expensive items. 🔹 Consider a video doorbell so you can receive an alert when someone approaches your property and potentially capture useful footage. 🔹 Use security lighting around entrances and other areas where parcels may be left. 🔹 Avoid asking delivery drivers to leave parcels in visible or insecure locations, such as outside communal entrances or on the doorstep. 👀 If you see someone acting suspiciously around properties or appearing to target parcels, please report it and provide as much information as possible. If you have CCTV or doorbell footage relating to a theft, please retain it as it may assist with an investigation. 🚨 If a theft is happening now or there is an immediate risk of harm, call 999. For non-emergency reports, use 101 or report online via the Met Police website. Let’s work together to reduce parcel theft and keep our community safe. 📦
