Meet Hoots – the new face of Neighbourhood Watch Scotland

Dear Resident,

We’re delighted to introduce Hoots, our brand new neighbourly owl mascot for Neighbourhood Watch Scotland.

Hoots is a friendly new face for our organisation, helping us share information, celebrate the people and projects making a difference in communities across Scotland, and encourage neighbours to look out for one another.

You’ll start to see Hoots appearing across our website, Neighbourhood Alert messages, newsletters and social media. He’ll help us highlight community news, useful advice, local events and opportunities to get involved.

Why Hoots?

There’s a simple reason we chose the name Hoots – owls are known for their distinctive hoot! It’s friendly, memorable and feels like a good fit for a character who will be part of our communications. 

Owls are also often associated with wisdom, awareness and insight – qualities that sit well with the values of Neighbourhood Watch Scotland.

Hoots will help us shine a light on the positive things happening in communities and point people towards information and opportunities that could make a difference where they live.

Keep an eye out for Hoots in our Neighbourhood Alerts, on our website, in newsletters and across social media.

When he appears, there’ll hopefully be something worth a look – whether that’s a helpful piece of information, a community story, an upcoming event or an opportunity to get involved.
