Theft from vehicle - Quebec Street

Friday 14th August at approx. 1130hrs a delivery driver was delivering furniture and had left their vehicle parked at the side of the road. During this time, unknown suspects approached the vehicle, opened the door, gained access, and stole a coat and a dash camera from inside. The suspects then made off in an unknown direction.

If you witnessed anything suspicious, have CCTV, doorbell footage, or dash cam recordings from the area at the relevant time, please report it to the police quoting the relevant incident reference number.

Crime Prevention Advice

To reduce the risk of becoming a victim of theft from a vehicle:

Always lock your vehicle, even if leaving it unattended for only a short time.

Remove valuables from sight or take them with you whenever possible.

Do not leave items such as coats, bags, wallets, phones, tools, or electronic equipment visible inside vehicles.

Ensure windows, sunroofs, and doors are fully secured before leaving your vehicle.

Consider parking in well-lit, busy areas where vehicles can be easily observed.

If fitted, ensure dash cameras and other accessories are removed or concealed when the vehicle is unattended.

Report any suspicious persons or activity around parked vehicles to the police immediately.
