Vehicle Crime Prevention Reminder

We’ve recently seen reports of vehicle thefts and attempted thefts across the Swansea area, including Mount Pleasant. 

South Wales Police would like to remind local residents to take a few simple steps to help keep their vehicles secure:

Always lock your vehicle, even if leaving it for a short period of time.
Keep keys away from doors and windows and also consider using a signal-blocking pouch for keyless vehicles.
Remove all valuables from sight or take them with you.
Consider installing CCTV, dashcams, or parking in well-lit areas where possible.
If your vehicle has additional security devices such as steering wheel locks or trackers, please make use of them.

If you witness suspicious behaviour around vehicles or have any information regarding vehicle crime in your area, please report it to South Wales Police via 101, online, or always call 999 in an emergency.
