Mental Health Assessment

As part of our role at Chelsea Safer Neighbourhoods, officers often are tasked with assisting Mental Health Teams and with assessments, and providing protection to Health Care Professionals. We accompany the resident in the ambulance to a secure NHS Unit and hand over to the staff there.

Officers assisted with a resident from the Worlds End Estate this morning, who was sectioned under Section 135 of the Mental Health Act 1983.

Hopefully the resident can get the care they require.

It is only with the information given to us from concerned residents that this action can be taken.
