Tackling Street Drinking in Halifax Town Centre

Good Afternoon,

Today, neighbourhood officers were out on patrol in Halifax town centre, taking positive action to address street drinking and associated anti-social behaviour.

Residents are reminded that a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) is in place across Calderdale, giving officers the power to require individuals to stop drinking alcohol in public spaces and surrender alcohol where necessary. If offenders refuse to comply with this order, they will be arrested for breaching the PSPO
