|
Hello Resident I hope this message finds you well. As we move through August, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across the Darlaston and Bentley area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving. Local Priorities Our current focus areas include: We’re continuing with our patrols and targeted operations in these areas and where appropriate working with partners to tackle these issues. You can stay updated on what we are doing to tackle these issues by visiting our local webpage by clicking here. Updates and Partnership Working We’ve been carrying out targeted patrols and working closely with our partners to tackle incidents of inappropriate use of scooters & motorcycles in the Chafery Drive area. We have also focused on retail crime and shop theft which has resulted in several individuals arrested and charged. Darlaston officers have been carrying out targeted patrols in areas of reported vehicle crime such as large car parks. Not only is this a deterrent but it also allows us the opportunity to provide advice to vehicle owners. Car crime makes up a significant number of all recorded crimes across Walsall. Most of the vehicle crime occurs from criminals seeing opportunities and taking them.
