Speed Checks Pluckley/Smarden!

On Thursday 13th August, Officers from our Special Constabulary gave up their valuable time and spent the day with Kent Police, conducting speed checks around the Western Wards of Ashford.

Amongst various other locations, they set up in Smarden, however no motorists were observed on this occasion to be in excess of the speed limit. However whilst in Pluckley, Officers dealt with one driver for being in excess of the limit, where a Traffic Offence Report was submitted which is likely to result in a fine and points. 

They also had time to head out and conducted foot patrol through some of the nearby Towns, showing some well needed Policing presence.
