Silverdale Country Park: Please Stay Out of the Water

We've received reports of people swimming in the water at Silverdale Country Park.

Please do not enter the water. Swimming here is extremely dangerous. What may look safe from the surface can hide serious hazards, including deep water, sudden drop-offs, cold temperatures, submerged objects, and difficult exit points.

Entering the water puts you at risk of serious injury or drowning.

Parents and guardians are asked to speak with children and young people about the dangers of swimming in open water, particularly during warm weather.
