CONCERNS WITH HORSE FAIR

Good evening,

A number of local residents have recently contacted me with concerns regarding the resurfacing works on Horse Fair and the absence of the white road markings at the zebra crossings.

While the zebra crossing beacons remain in place and the legal requirements for drivers and pedestrians continue to apply, I appreciate that the lack of markings may be causing confusion and that some vehicles are not stopping as they should.

I have spoken with the Highways team and have been assured that there are plans in place to repaint the zebra crossing markings in the very near future.

I hope this provides some reassurance, and thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention.
