Bakers Arms UPDATE

Good Afternoon Hoe Street 

I wanted to give an update on the situation at the bakers arms ( street drinkers and benches )

After receiving multiply official reports, complaints and Met Engage messages 

Hoe Street SNT have increased patrols in the area resulting in ASB warnings, fines and arrests being made.

After a joint patrol with the council and talking to the local shop owners we have put forward to remove the benches from the area.

Police and the council are in agreement that the benches are not being used as intended, an area that was supposed to be a space for all to sit and rest has become a street drinkers haven for ASB.

Highways & Traffic management are responsible for the benches and have told us that they can remove them they just have to wait until funding is available, in the meantime they can remove the wooded slates and possibly one of the benches.
