Anti social behaviour/Vandalism

Dear Residents, 

There is some Good News to report, we have been updated with the following information - 

The Pontesbury Play area refurbishment is complete, the parish council are organising an open afternoon for residents on Friday 21st August from 3pm onwards, parish councillors, the supplying company and Sutcliffe Play will be onsite with goodie bags and the local ice cream van (Ell’s Ices) will be there. Everyone is welcome, bring along your picnic blanket, a picnic, your own drinks, etc and let’s have a great afternoon celebrating the new play park.

There is some bad news to report, the following has been reported  - 

The Pontesbury Parish Council are reporting that within days of the toddler play area being opened the new equipment was vandalised. A catapult and  ball bearings were used to fire at the play equipment. It is alleged that  two boys aged approximately 14-15 year old were seen causing the damage. The parish council have taken the decision to remove the damaged piece of equipment for the time being.

The Police are asking everyone to be vigilant, if you see anyone in the vicinity of the play area causing damage we would encourage it being reported via 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
