Mountsorrel Beat Team Weekly Update

This week, your Mountsorrel Beat Team was pleased to attend Mountsorrel Revival. It was a fantastic day, and we enjoyed speaking with so many residents from across the community.

A special thank you goes to our Police Support Volunteers, who attended with a crime prevention stand and offered advice and support throughout the event.

We would also like to make residents aware that, over the past week, we have received three separate reports of fires on farmland which are believed to have been started deliberately. Enquiries are ongoing and remain in the early stages.

With the current spell of warm and dry weather, conditions are ideal for fires to spread quickly, particularly in rural areas and open countryside. We would ask everyone to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour, vehicles, or individuals acting unusually around farmland, fields, or other rural locations.

If you witness any suspicious activity, please report it to Leicestershire Police via our website or by calling 101. In an emergency, or if a fire is actively spreading, always call 999.
