Grades soar along with the temperatures this A-level results day

Councillor Puja Bedi, lead member for children & lifelong learning said: “A massive congratulations to all our students, teachers, and school staff across the borough on this year’s fantastic A-level results.

“To our students: your hard work, resilience, and determination have paid off. Whether you are heading to university, starting an apprenticeship, or entering the workforce, you should be incredibly proud of what you have achieved.

“To our teachers and school staff: these results are a testament to your unwavering dedication, passion, and support. You have guided our young people through crucial years of their lives, and the council extends its deepest thanks for your commitment to excellence in our community's education. We wish everyone the very best in their next chapters.

“Our results continue to show progress, with Slough’s average point score (APS) rising from 34.99 in 2025 to 36.22 in 2026, this is the fourth year of consecutive increases. With this increase the average grade has increased from a C+ in 2025 to an amazing B-, with 70% of schools increasing their APS per entry compared to 2025."
