Is your child on social media?

Parents/Guardians,

Staffordshire Police have the following advice should your children use social media platforms:

Please make sure their account details are secure and they are not shared with anyone, including, partners, friends and people they only know through online interaction.

Be aware of children providing log-in details to others who they see as their friends/boyfriend/girlfriend, who they might not know in real life. The account user can access photo galleries on the app (such as Snapchat) to obtain indecent images and videos without directly asking for them.

Please check children's phones regularly to ensure their safety online.
