Vehicle Crime 11/08/26 - Rishton

Good Morning

We have received several reports of property taken from vehicles on the night of Tuesday 11th August. From the reports we have had, no vehicles have been damaged however property has been stolen in these instances.

Although we have received a few reports, I've been told that there have been several other attempts at entry into vehicles. If this has happened to you, could you kindly reply to this message with details,  to help us build up more of a picture of how many vehicles were targeted. I would also ask you to report this on 101 or online via lancashire.police.uk, especially if you were a victim of theft or damage as a result. Anyone with CCTV footage of suspicious behaviour on the night on 11/08/26 is also encouraged to get in touch.

I'd like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to ensure you lock unattended vehicles, and not leave any valuables inside.
