ALERT arson - Shrewsbury Park

Hi Resident,

Friends of Shrewsbury Park group have contacted me to raise reports of daily arson in the Park this week with reports that 3 young people were seen in vicinity when fires were reported.

How can you help?

report suspicious behaviour around the park / dates / times / descriptions via 101 / met police live chat on website / crime stoppers HERE

if you see a fire - phone 999

use what3words to report the location accurately - all emergency services use this. download the app HERE

do NOT approach or engage any suspicious people but report them

if you ever feel unsafe or see fires being started 999

On the subject of fire safety - I myself booked a fire safety assessment for my house HERE

The team came yesterday were great, and of course I thanked them for their service!

Two points of note I was asked to pass on to community

Don't put your plugged in phone by your pillow (!?)

in this heat emergency please dont light bonfires

alllow bbq to burn out naturally - dont dispose of coals in grass etc
