Good morning Resident
I'd like to make you aware of reports of Theft of Pedal Cycle's at Otford Railway Station on Wednesday 12 August 2026. The incident happened at approximately 10:40am . The suspects are described as 2 young white males (possibly youths), wearing dark grey clothing.
Cycle theft remains an opportunistic crime, and we are encouraging all cyclists to take steps to protect their property.
Crime Prevention Advice✅ Always secure your cycle with a good quality Sold Secure approved D-lock where possible. ✅ Lock both the frame and wheels to a secure cycle stand. ✅ If using two locks, use different types of locks to make theft more difficult. ✅ Remove any detachable items such as lights, computers, bags and accessories when leaving your cycle unattended. ✅ Record your cycle's frame number, take photographs, and consider registering it on a property marking database such as BikeRegister. ✅ Where available, park in well-lit areas covered by CCTV and with high levels of footfall.
