I wanted to provide an update regarding Violence against women and girls, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey. Centenary SNT Officer Helps CID Arrest Alleged Stalker A dedicated officer from the Centenary Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) played a key role in supporting detectives from Harrow CID in the arrest of a man accused of stalking a local woman. Working closely with CID officers, the Centenary SNT officer assisted with local intelligence gathering, enquiries and operational support that helped locate the suspect and bring the investigation to a successful conclusion. The man was subsequently arrested in connection with a series of alleged stalking offences. Once charged he will appear before the courts, where the allegations will be considered. Stalking can have a devastating impact on victims, causing significant fear, distress and disruption to their daily lives. The successful outcome highlights the importance of partnership working between neighbourhood policing teams and specialist investigators in protecting vulnerable victims and pursuing offenders. Sergeant Jones David said: "This result demonstrates the value of effective teamwork across policing. The support provided by our Centenary SNT officer helped CID progress their investigation and ensure that a man accused of causing considerable distress to a woman was arrested. We remain committed to supporting victims, tackling violence against women and girls, and taking robust action against those who seek to harm or intimidate others." The case serves as a reminder that stalking and harassment offences are taken extremely seriously. Anyone experiencing stalking, harassment or unwanted behaviour is encouraged to report it to police so that appropriate safeguarding and enforcement action can be taken. #CentenarySNT #HarrowCID #KeepingCommunitiesSafe #NeighbourhoodPolicing #
