Appeal after motorcyclist seriously injured in Trumpington collision

Dear Resident, 

We are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a motorcyclist was left with serious injuries following a collision.

Officers and paramedics were called at about 8.50pm yesterday (11 August) to the A1309, High Street, Trumpington, near Cambridge, outside the Green Man pub. 

A silver Jaguar XF was involved in the collision with the black Honda 599cc.  

The motorcyclist, a 19-year-old man from Chatteris, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in a life-threatening condition.

The Jaguar driver, a 69-year-old man from Cambridge, was uninjured and arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He remains in custody.
