Two charged in connection with class A drugs supply

Two people have been charged after they were arrested in Hatfield in connection with supplying class A drugs.

The arrests took place by officers from the Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team when they were on patrol in Hatfield town centre on Saturday (8 August). 

An axe and cannabis were also seized.

Rehan Nasir, aged 19, of no fixed abode in Welwyn Hatfield, has been charged with the following offences:

A 17 year old girl, from Welwyn Hatfield, has been charged with the following offences:

Both were remanded in custody, ahead of a hearing at at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 10 August).

Sergeant Mitchell Cartwight, from the Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We are committed to tackling drugs and these arrests were the result of proactive patrols in Hatfield town centre. I hope this provides reassurance that we are out and about, working hard to keep you safe and providing a visible presence and deterrence.”
