You may have noticed an increased police presence in your area today.

We are currently investigating a number of attempt thefts from motor vehicles which occurred in the Spinney Drive and Ascot Drive area of Ellesmere Port between 3am and 4am in the early hours of Sunday 9 August.

We are appealing to residents who may have CCTV, doorbell camera footage, dashcam footage, or any information that could assist our enquiries. Please check any recordings from the relevant time period and contact Cheshire Police if you have captured anything suspicious.

Please help protect your property by following these simple security measures:

✅ Ensure vehicles are locked and secure, even when parked on your driveway.

✅ Use a Faraday pouch or Faraday box for keyless vehicle fobs.
✅ Make use of external security lighting and CCTV where possible.
✅ Report any suspicious activity in your neighbourhood.
