Vehicle Seized - No Insurance - No Road Tax

On Saturday 08/08/2026 two special constables came across a male who was delivering fruit and vegetable's to the local businesses, after the special constables completed checks on the vehicle the driver did not have insurance or road tax. The vehicle was seized by the special constables for a trailer to pick up the vehicle to take to the compound. The vehicle will be picked up to take to the MPS compound. Until the vehicle is insured - taxed the vehicle will be stored at the compound. Also the vehicle owner will be charged on a daily rate to be stored at the compound. PCSO 7002EA ALEEM assisted with  the special constables by directing the traffic as the vehicle was parked on the edge of the road blocking other vehicle coming in and out of the road. A great job completed by the special constables. Ilford Lane junction with Mayville Road. This a reminder for owners of vehicles to make sure they have full vehicle insurance and road tax when they are driving there vehicle.
