🚔🚔 Neighbourhood Policing Team 2 - Inspector Pickavance 🚔🚔 North

On 7 August 2026, Team 2, consisting of PC Ahmed and PCSOs Angela and Lisa, carried out a proactive leaflet drop within the local community to raise awareness of parcel theft and provide residents with practical crime prevention advice.

Proactive policing is about preventing harm before it occurs. By engaging directly with residents and sharing information about local risks, we can help people remain informed, vigilant, and better prepared to protect themselves from crime. The leaflet provided practical guidance on reducing the risk of parcel theft, including the use of secure delivery locations, arranging deliveries for times when someone is at home, and avoiding leaving parcels unattended or visible from outside the property.

This engagement was about more than simply distributing leaflets. It was an opportunity to work alongside our communities, share important crime prevention information, and encourage residents to take simple preventative measures to protect their property. Through positive engagement and partnership working, we aim to build safer, more resilient neighbourhoods and help reduce opportunities for offenders to commit crime.
