Proactive Patrols Remove Uninsured Motorbikes from the Roads

Good evening, Resident,

I would like to make you aware of two separate incidents involving the seizure of motorbikes on different dates.

Saturday 1 August 2026

Officers from Team 1 Local Policing Team (LPT), who were working overtime as part of Safe Summer, identified a motorbike in the Sevenoaks area. Checks confirmed that the rider did not hold a valid driving licence and was uninsured.

As a result, the motorbike was seized and the rider was reported for the relevant offences.

Saturday 8 August 2026

Whilst on patrol in the Dunton Green area, PS Edwards and PC Costin identified and stopped a motorbike. Checks revealed that the rider was using the motorbike without valid insurance and driving otherwise in accordance with their licence.

The motorbike was seized and the rider was reported for the offence's.

These proactive stops have helped remove uninsured vehicles from the road network and demonstrate our continued commitment to improving road safety across the district.
