Crime Prevention - Parcel Theft

With more people shopping online, unattended parcels can be an easy target for opportunist thieves.

Here are a few simple ways to help protect your deliveries:

Where possible arrange deliveries for when you are home.

Ask a trusted neighbour to take parcels in if you are not available.

Use a secure delivery box or designated safe place.

Track your deliveries so you know when they are due.

Avoid leaving valuable parcels visible from the street.

If you notice suspicious activity around communal entrances or properties, report it.

If parcel is stolen, report the theft and provide as much information as possible, including the delivery time, locaton and any relevant CCTV or witness details.

A few simple precautions can help prevent your parcel becoming an easy target.
