Stone throwing group of youths apprehended

Good afternoon 

There have been a number of residents in the ward asking if it is true that the group that has been responsible for the ASB along Church Lane and Church Drive throwing stones and other items at properties and causing damage to flowerbeds over the past few months have been caught.

I can confirm that the group have been apprehended. All youths identified have admitted responsibility. All parents have been notified and home visits have been carried out. I am also happy to report that all parents have been fully supportive in the actions taken by the police and are supporting their child in being accountable for their conduct. 

We are in the process of conducting restorative justice to the most prolific of the group and all involved have been issued with AS13 notices. 

An AS13 notice is formal notice to identify and warn individuals involved in anti-social behaviour. If the behaviour continues after such notice is issued, then stronger measures will be enforced with the possibility of multi-agency notices being served.

I would like to reassure residents that after conducting the home visits, the individuals have assured us the anti-social behaviour will not be continuing.
