Operation Fearless: Drugs and cash seized as man arrested

Dear Resident,

Op Fearless officers have arrested a man and seized drugs and cash, as they continue to act on community intelligence on Soho Road and around the Handsworth triangle. 

As well as listening to concerns from locals, our Fearless officers act on the information provided to them. 

It was that which yesterday (6 August) led them to respond immediately to carry out high-visibility patrols in the area off Soho Road, near Murdock Road and Linwood Road, targeting potential drug crime. 

They had reason to stop a car, which was then searched, leading to the discovery of a substantial amount of suspected Class A and B drugs. 

Further searches of a linked address led to the discovery of cash, which was also seized. 

A man aged 47 was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs and has been bailed as our investigation continues. 

Operation Fearless exists to tackle the crimes people tell us are causing issues locally - and working with community partners to deal with it head on.
