CRIME update for July 2026 |

Dear Resident
Here is an update regarding Burglaries, Vehicle Crime and Criminal damage which occurred in the Forest Recreation Ground & Arboretum Police beat area during the month of July.
Burglaries residential = 2 22/07 Colville Terrace – Damage to front door window, access gained, untidy search, nothing reported stolen. 25/07 Maple Street – HMO property, forced entry to door, TV stolen.
Criminal damage = 3 08/07 North Sherwood Street – Front underplate of vehicle hanging off, bolts missing. 22/07 Forest Recreation Ground – CCTV recording shows 8x children force opening front gate to premises causing damage. 24/07 Maple Street – Scratch down the side of vehicle.
Theft of motor vehicle = 1 Delayed report 22/07 – Between 01/06 and 11/06 Addison Street – Theft of moped.
Theft from vehicle = 5 14/07 Mount Hooten Road – 2x male suspects have used large rock to break into vehicle, items stolen from within. 24/07 Peel Street – Entry gained, items stolen from within. 25/07 Thurman Street – Entry gained, items stolen from within. 26/07 Colville Street – Rear window smashed, items stolen from within. Suspect detained on arrival of officers. Subsequently male arrested and charge for criminal damage and theft from vehicle. 28/07 Mount Hooten Road – Front and rear vehicle registration number plates stolen.
