With warm, sunny weather expected across the weekend and major events taking place nearby at Haydock Park Racecourse, we are likely to see increased visitor numbers across Wigan and Leigh, particularly in Ashton-in-Makerfield and surrounding areas.

This evening's racing at Haydock begins at 5:30pm, with the final race at 8:40pm, followed by Pete Tong's Ibiza Classics concert. Tomorrow (Saturday) sees the return of Ladies Day, with racing scheduled from 1:40pm until 5:10pm.

Whether you're attending the races, enjoying local pubs, bars and restaurants, spending time with family, or meeting friends, a little planning can help ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable weekend.
