Help prevent theft from and of your vehicle by following these simple security measures: Always lock your vehicle and ensure all windows and sunroofs are fully closed.Remove all valuables from your vehicle, including bags, mobile phones, wallets, cash, tools and electronic devices.Do not leave items on display, even if they appear to have little value.Take keys with you and never leave the engine running unattended.Store vehicle keys securely inside your home, away from doors and windows.For keyless vehicles, use a Faraday pouch or signal-blocking container to help prevent relay theft.Park in well-lit, busy areas or secure car parks where possible.At home, park on a driveway or in a garage if available.Consider using additional security devices such as steering wheel locks, wheel clamps, alarms or tracking systems.Vans should be emptied of tools and equipment overnight and fitted with additional security where possible.Fit anti-theft screws to number plates to help prevent theft and misuse.Report suspicious activity around vehicles to police via 101, or call 999 if a crime is in progress. Remember: Lock it. Remove it. Secure it. Most vehicle crime is opportunistic, so taking a few simple precautions can greatly reduce the risk of becoming a victim.
