Hear ye Hear ye, residents of Weddy and Nuneaton far and wide... Nuneaton East neighbourhood officers have been gathering information this past week off reports the public gave us of nuisance motorbikes and quad bikes. Yes, you've helped us to help you, so thank you! On Tuesday, our colleagues PC Lock and PC Daft were quick to act on seizing a naughty black moped from Sandon park and added to our information collecting. On Wednesday, would you believe it, PC Lock and Daft were at it again! Seized a little red and black motorbike again from Sandon Park, more information obtained. Today, we said that is enough. After some sneaky tactics from the team in flushing the fully grown males out from the local fields, they were met with a very happy Sergeant not far away and at a suspected home address of these bikes and quads. Seized. Seized. Seized, we say. Report one and then another and, then another to court. Two adults and one teenager dealt with, all old enough to know better. Oh, and a civil order issued and an interview for public nuisance offences in due course. We do not take riding recklessly lightly, and neither do the residents of Nuneaton. 2446 / 2250
