Crimes reported over the past seven days. Burglary Dwelling Nothing to Report Burglary Other Nothing to Report Theft of motor vehicle Around 9.29pm on Saturday 1 August at the Aldi Foodstore, Ashgate Road, Hucknall, a white male, late 30’s to early 40’s, with tattoos all over his face and neck, wearing light blue shorts, navy blue hoodie, base ball cap, got into an unlocked red Citroen C1 car in the car park and tried to start it. A member of the public managed to get him out of the car and he jumped a fence and walked off towards the Morrisons local shop. Between 8.00pm and midnight on Sunday 2 August in High Street, Hucknall, a white Ford Transit Panel Custom van was stolen from the Chequers Inn car park. Theft from motor vehicle Nothing to report Theft Nothing to Report Violence against person At 7.30pm on Wednesday 5 August in Titchfield Park, Park Drive, Hucknall, a 12 year old boy was involved in a verbal argument in the skate board area and left for home. A boy on a scooter caught up with him grabbed him round the throat and hit him. The attacker was a white male, 5-00”, skinny build, blonde hair, wearing a grey Nike top with black writing, black Nike shorts. A second male, darker skinned, brown curly hair, around 10 years old, threw plastic bottles at the victim. Criminal Damage At 9.22pm on Friday 31 July in Portland Road, Hucknall, a male smashed a shop window with a crowbar and ran off towards Beardall Street. Around 10.30pm on Friday 31 July in Washdyke Lane, Hucknall a report of a neighbours kitchen window being smashed. Outer glass only. Around 3.00pm on Friday 31 July in Linnet Way, Hucknall, the tyre of a car left in a private car park was punctured with a knife or sharp object. ASB At 3.08pm on Thursday 30 July in Salterford Road, Hucknall, a report of 4/7 dirt bikes, ridden by males wearing balaclavas, racing through the alleys and around the area with a lot of screaming and shouting. This started around 2.30pm. At 7.45pm on Sunday 2 August in Clumber Street, Hucknall, a 10 year old white male, blonde hair, wearing green t-shirt and black leggings, was racing up and down the road on a junior sized silver coloured Quad bike for the past 20 minutes. He was there again at 6.35pm on Tuesday 4 August. At 8.59pm on Sunday 2 August on Papplewick Green, Kenbrook Road, Hucknall, a report of three young lads throwing stones, the main offender was around 12 years old, wearing a balaclava and teal coloured clothing. The caller was concerned they may hit houses or passing vehicles. At 11.16pm on Monday 3 August in Shaw Crescent, Hucknall, a boarded up window which had been smashed the week previously was hit again. At 9.15 pm on Tuesday 4 August at the High Street Express store. High Street, Hucknall, a 19/20 year old black male, 5-07”, stocky build, Afro hair cut, black tracksuit, entered the store and was told they did not have the item he wanted, as he left he opened the tap on the Slushy machine releasing water over the store. He returned later and made to fight with customers and members of staff
