WARNING AFTER VEHICLES STOLEN FROM UTTOXETER

Good afternoon,

Residents are being encouraged to remain vigilant following two overnight thefts reported in Uttoxeter.

Offenders have stolen a quad bike from one address and parts from a Land Rover from separate Rural, locations. Whilst these incidents did not occur in Rugeley, they are close enough to be of concern and serve as a timely reminder for everyone to review their vehicle and property security.

Please consider the following crime prevention measures:

✅ Secure vehicles, garages and outbuildings with good quality locks.
✅ Remove keys from vehicles and keep them out of sight.
✅ Install or make use of CCTV, security lighting and alarms where possible.
✅ Consider additional security devices such as steering locks, trackers and ground anchors for vehicles and equipment. 
✅ Report any suspicious activity, persons or vehicles in your area.

We would ask residents to remain vigilant and look out for neighbours, particularly those who may own quad bikes, agricultural machinery or high-value vehicles that could be targeted by thieves.
