Eagle-Eyed PCSO Spots Stolen Camper Van in Heywood

We are proud to share an outstanding example of vigilance and dedication from one of our eagle-eyed Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) in Heywood.

While on patrol in the Hopwood area of Heywood on his electric bike, our PCSO spotted a camper van near Kendal Close that had been reported stolen just hours earlier in Bury. Thanks to his sharp observation skills and quick action, the owner of the vehicle was promptly contacted, and the camper van was safely recovered. It has since been sent for forensic examination to assist with the ongoing investigation.

This incident highlights the vital role our PCSOs play in keeping our communities safe and demonstrates the importance of their presence on the ground. Their commitment and vigilance are invaluable in protecting the public and ensuring justice is served.
