Residential Burglary – There have been no reports of residential burglary between 28 July 2026 and 05 August 2026.
Theft of motor vehicle – There has been one report of Theft of motor vehicle between 28 July 2026 and 05 August 2026.
On 27/07/26, a vehicle was stolen from Lanchester Way.
Theft from a motor vehicle – There has been one report of Theft from a motor vehicle between 28 July 2026 and 05 August 2026.
Between 30/07/26 and 31/07/26, a theft from motor vehicle was committed on Sanda Croft.
Interference with a motor vehicle – There have been no report of Interference with a motor vehicle between 28 July 2026 and 05 August 2026.
Officers from the Smiths wood neighbourhood team are continuing to conduct proactive patrols and take preventative measures to tackle vehicle crime, across all Smiths wood, Kingshurst and Castle Bromwich.
Simple Steps to Keep Your Vehicle Safe –
Keyless ignition owners should use a Faraday pouch for their fob. All drivers should consider a steering lock, park in well – lit visible areas, lock their vehicle, remove valuables and ensure windows, sunroof, and wing mirrors are closed/ folded. Unfolded mirrors may signal an unlocked car to thieves.
What has been happening? Good news –
1 x arrest for Failed to appear at court for another force 1 x arrest for Breach of court bail conditions in relation to an ongoing and toxic neighbour dispute which resulted in the suspect being issued a Community Protection Warning in custody to address her offending behaviour. Vehicle seized for no tax that had been causing problems for local residents in the Smiths Wood area. Stolen motorbike recovered

Following an increase in fires across the borough we have been carrying out foot patrols across Meriden Park and Babbs Mill.

We have carried out beat Surgeries at Castle Bromwich Gardens and the United Church on Cooks Lane in Kingshurst.
Today we attended Castle Bromwich Infants School, speaking to the children attending the holiday club. Talking about the Police and our jobs and letting them have a look at a Police Cage Van.
