Olton Crime Update

Good Evening,

Here is your WMnow update for what has been going on in the Olton area since our last message and what the team has been up to.

Crime Update: 

There was a Theft Of Motor Vehicle on Redstone Farm Road which happened overnight on 30/07/2026 whereby a White Lexus from outside the address, the vehicle was later located and recovered for forensic enquires. 

There was a Theft Of Motor Vehicle on Warwick Road which happened between 1940hrs-2030hrs on 31/07/2026 whereby the offenders stolen the victims motorbike, this was later found and recovered. 

There was an Attempt Burglary Residential on Warwick Road which happened between 1830hrs - 1838hrs on 02/08/2026 whereby offenders have forced a window which has caused the window to smash. The house alarm has sounded which has caused the offenders to run off and were seen getting into a Silver Audi A1 registration; DG63BFA. Anyone with any information about this offence or the vehicle involved please contact WMP on 101 or the online chat on the WMP website. 

There was an Attempt Robbery on Warwick Road which happened at 1630hrs on 01/08/2026 whereby offenders have tried stealing the victims motorbike but were unsuccessful. 

There was a Burglary Residential on Castle Lane which happened between 2330hrs - 2345hrs on 02/08/2026 whereby the offenders have forced the rear kitchen window. Offenders have stolen money and jewellery from within the address. 

Good News:

The Team assisted our CID teams this week and arrested a young male on suspicion of wounding following an assault involving weapons. The weapon used in the offence was recovered from the address and the male is now before the Courts awaiting trial.

We have dealt with a male for theft where he has taken advantage of the kind will of a member of the public who he asked for assistance. While the victim was distracted the male made off with cash that had been withdrawn from a cash point. He was quickly arrested and charged, and the victim has had their money returned to them.

We would like to thank everyone who attended the community meeting we held on Tuesday afternoon at the Hatchford Brook Family Hub. There was a good turn out and some really valuable engagement resulting in some opportunities to for the team to further tackle the issues that matter to the local community.

Following extensive CCTV and ANPR work we have been able to identify a suspect for a theft matter where a vulnerable lady was robbed of a cherished item of jewellery. We managed to get a name for the suspect and a location and they are now WANTED with police across the Midlands closing the net in to get them behind bars where they belong. Without the help of members of the public providing us with footage we would not have been able to get nearly as far with this investigation, thank you.
