Cycle Patrols on the Valley Beat!

Dear Members,

Yesterday, myself and PC 70 James Martindale conducted cycle patrols throughout Castle Donington and Kegworth as part of our ongoing commitment to neighbourhood policing.

Maintaining a visible and accessible presence within our communities is a key aspect of local policing. Cycle patrols enable officers to engage directly with residents, businesses and visitors, whilst providing effective access to areas that may be less easily reached by vehicle.

By being present within the community, we are able to offer reassurance, address concerns, gather local information and strengthen relationships with those who live and work in the area. A visible police presence also plays an important role in helping to deter crime and anti-social behaviour.

We remain committed to working alongside our communities to help keep the Valley Beat a safe place to live, work and visit. If you see us whilst we are out on patrol, please feel free to stop and speak with us.
