GO LIVE: Enfield's Public Spaces Protection Order |
||
|
Good morning, all,
I am delighted to announce that Enfield Council and the Met Police have, together, launched the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) across Enfield.
For Edmonton Green residents, this means that the Shopping Centre is now decorated with beautiful new PSPO signs, which we hope will fill the void left by the departure of the Closure Order ones that occupied the space between September 2025 and February 2026. These signs play a huge role in the deterrence of crime and anti-social behaviour (ASB), which is backed by the Broken Windows Theory, which I highly recommend residents and business owners read up on as it's really interesting!
Your local policing team will be making a huge push to enforce the PSPO over the next couple of months, and I believe this will have a huge positive effect on the ASB still present within the Shopping Centre.
Enfield Council and I would really appreciate your feedback on the PSPO, and the response we give to those who breach the PSPO. Please submit feedback to us via MetEngage, email and your local councillors. And, as always, please encourage friends, family and colleagues to keep signing up to MetEngage, as it is the only place to receive updates like this one!
Best,
Acting Sergeant Zac Paul.
