With shift work, it's hard to define or describe a "typical" week in neighbourhood policing, and this one was no exception! Over the past week or so, your local NPT has been busy with:

• Assisted Gillingham NPT, SWROCU, HMRC and Immigration with a warrant in Gillingham.

• Attended 999 calls regarding concerns for welfare involving vulnerable people.

• Responded to a reported burglary in progress that wasn't quite what it first seemed...

• Continued disrupting suspected drug activity, including stop searches and intelligence development.

• Reported a driver for an extremely bald tyre. A reminder that vehicle defects can have serious consequences, especially during emergency braking.

• Located and arrested a violent and abusive shoplifter with assistance from Gillingham NPT and Blandford Patrol White Squad Sgt.

• Joint property visits with Stonewater Housing to tackle ASB.

• Carrying out victim visits to provide support and help ensure attendance at upcoming court hearings.

• Worked with Adult Social Care and partner agencies to safeguard vulnerable people.

• Assisted with an ongoing neighbour dispute.

• Carried out patrols across the patch.
