Good News 26th July 2026

Good Afternoon Residents,

On 26/07/2026, officers were called to West Hampstead Underground Station following reports that two males were targeting passengers on trains and attempting to steal mobile phones from unsuspecting victims. It was also reported that one of the suspects had assaulted a member of the public with a vodka bottle.

Fortunately, a helpful witness followed the suspects to Broadhurst Gardens, NW6, providing officers with their location.

Police attended promptly and, following a short foot chase, located both suspects. Both males were arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery.

This incident highlights the value of prompt reporting and the assistance provided by vigilant members of the public, which helped officers quickly identify, locate, and arrest the suspects.
