Suspicious Activity

Dear Residents 

I am writing to make you aware of recent reports of suspicious activity in Hayes Town.

On 1 August 2026, we have received reports regarding a small group of females accompanied by young children who have been approaching members of the public outside local shops in Hayes Town. According to the reports, the individuals have been asking members of the public to purchase baby milk and other items for their children. It is alleged that these items are then returned to stores in exchange for cash.

This behaviour has reportedly been occurring over the past week and has caused concern among local businesses and members of the community.

This information is being shared to raise awareness and encourage vigilance. We ask residents and business owners to remain alert and report any suspicious behaviour. If you are approached and feel uncomfortable, please politely decline the request and move to a safe location.

Businesses are encouraged to report any similar incidents, particularly where there are concerns regarding the return of goods that may have been obtained in this manner.
