Further illegal vehicles seized by West SNT

In the second half of July we received several reports of nuisance motorbikes using Shaftesbury Park and Baseball Drive to ride around, causing safety concerns for the general public and noise nuisance. Some of the bikes were believed to be stolen. Previously we have shared that the team had managed to locate one rider and seized his motorbike, as well as several days later locating a stolen motorbike that was returned to its owner. 

Last week PC Skevington, who has the project aimed at tackling the issue, and his colleague PC Buxton were conducting patrols in the area once again when they sighted a motorbike- potentially matching the description of a bike seen in previous images and footage shared to us. The rider, wearing a balaclava and no helmet, made off from Police but was located a short while later by both officers, on foot next to his bike. This time he attempted to run on foot but our officers were faster, swiftly catching up and detaining him for a stop search. 

Earlier on the same day PCSO Alvey, on patrol in the area, sighted and an E-Scooter- the group are described as using a mix of E-scooters and Motorbikes that causes annoyance, distress and concern to local residents. This was also seized for destruction.
