Dear Resident, Here is our weekly update from the Northfield Neighbourhood team. Our Priorities - Retail Crime & High Street Safety: Addressing shoplifting and antisocial behaviour on Northfield High Street through partnership with the Northfield Business Improvement District (BID)
- Targeting Drug Offences: Increasing patrols to address reports of drug use and dealing, with Operation Wayfarer focusing on disrupting these issues.
- Begging and Street Population: Addressing issues around street begging, drug use and anti social behaviour in public spaces.
- Crime Prevention & Youth Intervention: Focussing on reducing shop theft, providing early intervention and tackling organised crime in the Birmingham area
What’s been happening? - Officers have assisting the neighbourhood crime team with enquiries after a spike in thefts from vehicles on Redditch Road in Kings Norton
- Meeting with staff of Bournville Gardens after reported suspicious activity around the area.
Good News - A wanted shoplifter was arrested by the team and was charged.
- A vehicle was seized after the driver of the vehicle has no license and no insurance, this vehicle was brought to our attention after obstructing a bus stop
